Safety and Equipment

Safety & Equipment
Safety First!
Whether you are cage diving, shark diving or just reef diving... your safety is our number one concern. Prior to any diving we will have a safety dive briefing so that you are knowledgeable, comfortable and can dive safely.
Great White Shark cage diving:

Equipment
Our equipment is state-of-the-art, designed and built by us, the pros who use it daily. We are constantly working to improve and create new equipment to make Shark Diving safe and rewarding for everyone.

Cage design
Our cages have set the industry standard for excellence.
Our design and application is the envy of all other operators. They are designed and built to maximize safety and comfort for our divers, using high-grade materials and state-of-the-art fabrication processes. Our cages feature excellent viewing and photography characteristics, letting you enjoy total freedom of movement and 360 degree panoramic views.

The Farallon class 4 diver cage is designed and built for encountering the largest whites sharks in the world. It is a sturdy design that is precision welded throughout. The Guadalupe class 4 diver cages are modeled after our proven Farallon design. These huge rugged cages are formed with welded panels that are bolted together with Stainless Steel hardware, making them extremely strong, yet portable. The 4 diver cages weigh over 300 lbs. All of our cages feature dual buoyancy cells and easy access top entries.

Although being a certified diver is a plus, it is not required. We conduct cage diving safety courses right on board the vessel prior to commencing diving operations. Whether you have been diving for twenty years or have never been on the ocean before all of our passengers receive the same training. Safety is our number one priority for all our passengers and crew as well as the sharks. All divers will make an acclimation dive lasting approximately 10 minutes. It is important to make sure everyone is comfortable and confident before the action begins. Although we are not always successful in completing this exercise prior to the first shark arrival we do try to make sure that everyone gets the attention and assistance needed to make their dives as rewarding and safe as possible. No one is ever put into a situation that they are not comfortable with. Our crews are experienced and very patient with new divers. We try to make the cage teams up with divers of similar experience so everyone has an enjoyable and rewarding trip.
